Dr. Martin Nielsen

President & Founder

Martin Nielsen brings over 30 years of entrepreneurial and business ownership experience, combined with more than 20 years of teaching at the university level. He established IBAS to break traditional barriers and redefine education for the modern world.

Julie Nielsen

Vice President & Head of Marketing

Julie has overseen the strategic development of the institution’s brand since 2021, with a focus on growth, market positioning, and international partnerships. Her leadership encompasses all aspects of marketing, communications, and digital engagement, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision and values. While not involved in day-to-day academic operations, she plays a key role in shaping the overall IBAS experience—curating brand narratives, overseeing institutional visibility, and occasionally leading initiatives that showcase student life and campus culture.

Beata Hubnerova

On-Site Operations Manager

Beata Hubnerova has over 25 years of experience working in international business environments, with a focus on HR, expat support, and visa processes. She also spent several years at an international Montessori school, handling administration and event coordination for young students. At IBAS, she supports daily operations and provides administrative assistance across departments and supports on-site students.

Anna Phan plays a key role in supporting the daily operations and long-term planning at IBAS. With strong organisational skills, she ensures that administrative processes run smoothly across departments. Her contribution behind the scenes helps create a structured and welcoming environment for both staff and students.

Dr. Natalia Blagoeva

Dean of School of Business & Quality Assurance Director

Dr. Natalia Blagoeva has been teaching business subjects at IBAS and the International Business School of Scandinavia since 2019.

With over two decades of C-level and entrepreneurial experience across the service, technology, and consulting sectors, Dr. Blagoeva has led start-ups, a scale-up, and a global corporation. Her background also includes founding civil organizations, management consulting focused on culture, change, and leadership, and serving as a Business and Economics educator for Pearson IGCSE and A/AS qualifications.

A leadership coach, advisor, and keynote speaker, she is dedicated to helping individuals thrive in an AI-driven world by developing what she calls The Human Advantage — creativity, intuition, agency, and wisdom. Beyond her professional work, she is passionate about art, design, and international travel.

As Registrar, Joseph Kiang is responsible for overseeing student records, academic documentation, and programme coordination. With a detail-oriented approach and a commitment to accuracy, he helps ensure that the academic journey at IBAS is smooth, transparent, and well-organised from enrolment through graduation.

With over 20 years of international experience in the hospitality and service industry, Michael Eugster brings a wealth of operational, managerial, and academic expertise to his role as Faculty of Hospitality Programs at IBAS. Having served as Managing Director and General Manager in both Europe and Asia, he offers students real-world insight into global hospitality standards, leadership, and customer-centric excellence. His strong academic background, combined with hands-on industry knowledge, makes him a valuable guide

In order to ensure that the curriculum of  International Business Academy of Switzerland (IBAS) programs remain up-to-date and globally relevant, the IBAS management team established the International Advisory Board (IAB). IAB plays a crucial role in identifying pertinent competencies and skills required by graduates in the field of business and management.

IAB’s primary goals is to enhance program curriculum, to ensure the programs align with the evolving knowledge, skills, and competencies demanded by the business sector. IAB convenes biannually to deliberate on strategies for deepening partnerships with the global business community, identifying market-relevant competencies and skills, and to integrate cutting-edge topics into the study programs. These efforts are geared towards achieving sustained synergy with the business industry and equipping students with pertinent proficiencies for today’s dynamic marketplace.
