The MBA is fully online and offers multiple formats to suit different learning styles:

  • Self-study
  • Synchronous online lessons (live virtual classes)
  • Asynchronous online learning (study on your schedule)
  • Blended learning with optional on-campus sessions at IBAS in Switzerland or via one of our global partners

This structure allows students to choose the format that best supports their goals and availability.

The IBAS Online MBA is designed to provide maximum flexibility for working professionals.

Each module runs for one month and is offered on a rolling basis. This allows you to begin at multiple points throughout the year and progress at a pace aligned with your professional commitments.

You may pause your studies at any time. If work or personal responsibilities require your attention during a given month, you can simply resume the programme the following month. The module you missed can be completed the next time it is offered in rotation.

To graduate, a minimum of 60 ECTS credits is required. For the full MBA with specialisation, these 60 ECTS are earned through core and/or elective modules. No final thesis or capstone project is required.

We offer monthly intakes. There is no fixed module sequence, allowing students to begin at any point in the academic calendar and build their MBA on a module-by-module basis.

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • OR Relevant professional experience (subject to assessment)

In addition, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency:

  • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
  • Or proof of previous study in English
  • Or successful completion of an approved partner English test

You will get a Certificate per completed module.

To graduate with an IBAS MBA, students must:

  • Successfully complete modules totaling a minimum 60 ECTS
  • Pass all selected modules

QS-ranked MBA: Requires completion of all 8 core modules plus one or more specialisations.

Students have the freedom to tailor their MBA by choosing freely among available modules. Those pursuing more than one specialisation will receive additional transcripts and certificates for each.

This degree is offered either directly as an IBAS qualification or students can choose to add on top-ups or 2-in- 1 degree in collaboration with several partner institutions, enabling students to select the pathway that best aligns with their individual needs and aspirations.

Program-Specific Accreditation
IBAS has achieved ACBSP accreditation for its MBA and DBA programs. The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States.

Ongoing Accreditation Efforts
IBAS is actively pursuing Swiss University of Applied Sciences accreditation. However, it is important to note that current or existing programs are not guaranteed to be included under any future accreditation, and such a recognition/accreditation is not guaranteed to be obtained.

To support students seeking a state-recognized qualification, IBAS has established partnerships with recognized institutions, including ATHE (Awards for Training and Higher Education) in the UK. Through this collaboration, IBAS has aligned its curriculum to allow students to earn dual certification via ATHE. More details about ATHE are available at ATHE.
