A small on-campus gathering to mark an important milestone for our MBA students.

As many students complete their academic phase and prepare for internships, this is a chance to come together, enjoy some food, and recognise the progress made over the past year.

Workshop: Understanding Investors — Turning Ideas into Funded Innovations

Have you ever wondered how investments really work — and what it takes to convince someone to believe in your idea?
This interactive workshop introduces IBAS students to the world of investors, helping them understand how to transform creative concepts into viable, market-ready ventures that attract real financial backing.

Through practical exercises, group discussions, and simulation games, participants will learn:

  • How investments function in the real world

  • What makes a product truly investable — from innovation to niche appeal and target markets

  • The benefits and challenges of bringing an investor on board

  • How to think like an investor in today’s fast-changing global economy

  • How to find and connect with the right investor for their vision

By the end of the session, students will have a clear understanding of what investors look for, how to communicate value effectively, and how to make strategic decisions about funding opportunities. Whether you dream of launching a startup, innovating within a company, or simply understanding how financial backing shapes business growth — this workshop gives you the insight and confidence to start thinking like an investor yourself.

Company Visit: Barfly’z
17th September 2025

The IBAS company visit to Barfly’z Zurich offers students a behind-the-scenes look at one of the city’s well-known hospitality venues. This compulsory, closed event is exclusively for students with relevant specialisations, providing an opportunity to connect academic learning with real-world practice. Participants gain insight into Barfly’z operations, management, and brand philosophy — exploring how creativity, customer experience, and business strategy come together in a dynamic hospitality environment.
